Richard Thomson

Richard Thomson has been Watson Gordon Professor of Fine Art at the University of Edinburgh since 1996, having previously taught at the University of Manchester. He read Modern History at St Catherine’s College, Oxford, has a postgraduate Diploma in the History of Art from Oxford, and gained both an MA and a PhD from the Courtauld Institute, London University. He spoke for AHiS at the National Gallery on the occasion of the National Gallery's 2018 Monet and Architecture exhibition.
