Kate Evans

A graduate of The Courtauld Institute and the Institute of Education, Kate Evans has been committed to teaching history of art in schools since 1983. Most of her career has been in the Innovative Art department at St Paul’s Girls’ School. Her wish to see widening access led to a long association with the Association of Art Historians Schools Sub-Committee (c. 1988-2016). Looking for new ways of reaching school audiences for the subject, she recently set up "Art Detectives", an outreach lunchtime project with year 6 pupils. From September 2016, she is teaching the AQA AS course with years 10 and 11 for qualification alongside GCSE.
